The exclusion of the Punjab Government and premiere state institutions from the Central Government committee on agriculture issues, including an effective minimum support price mechanism, has raised Punjab’s hackles.
The exclusion of Punjab institutions and state government representatives from the Central government’s Committee on Agriculture issues and making Minimum Support Price more effective has raised the hackles in Punjab.
Centre has constituted an agricultural committee to discuss pertinent agricultural issues. The panel will also include three members from the Samyukta Kisan Morcha among other representatives.
