What is National Insect Appreciation Day All are invited to celebrate National Insect Appreciation Day (NAIAD) on June 8th with thousands of insect enthusiasts, both amateurs and professionals, all across Canada. For a second year, because of COVID-19, the celebrations will take place online and use social media. People can participate in the “insect picture challenge” on social media. To participate in the challenge, a person will have to post at least one picture of an insect during the National Insect Appreciation Day on June 8th.
