News station, this is home. 11. Now at 11, a rescue swimmer pulls a 5 yearold boy from the water. Nearly 30 minutes after he was reported missing. In the delta. Good evening and thank you for joining us for kron. 4 news at 11. Im dan thorn. Were continuing to follow that developing news out of the east bay tonight with that 5 yearold boy had been taken to the hospital after he was found submerged in the sacramento San Joaquin River contra. Costa county fire says the boy was recovered in the water off of bethel island. Crews rushing to the scene earlier this evening after the boy was reported missing by his family. A rescue swimm r eventually found him submerged in the river about 25 minutes after the call went out, cpr was performed on the boy who was then taken to the hospital. First responders on scene say this is a reminder of the potential dangers for Young Children near the water. This is the first really warm day so far this year.
