China: over nine million people vaccinated against Covid-19
Beijing, Jan 9 (Prensa Latina) China on Saturday reported that at least nine million people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 as part of an emerging program, and is also planning to vaccinate the rest of its population for free.
Zeng Yixin, deputy director of the National Health Commission, told reporters that out of that number, 7.5 million individuals have been vaccinated since mid-December, as the program was taken to vulnerable groups.
China is aimed at vaccinating at least 50 million people before the Lunar New Year, on February 12, and then it will continue to the elderly and those suffering from chronic diseases.
