Second consignment of 1 65L vaccines arrive in Jharkhand | Ranchi News

Ranchi: An AirAsia flight from Mumbai carrying the second consignment of 1.65 lakh Covishield vaccines landed at Birsa Munda International Airport in Ranchi around 11am on Wednesday morning. The consignment is meant for vaccinating healthcare workers of the state and central government as well as armed forces medical service personnel employed in Jharkhand. Of the 1,65,570 vaccine doses received by the state; 1,54,650 are for healthcare workers, 9,620 for healthcare workers employed with central government facilities and 1,300 are for the personnel of armed forces medical services based in Jharkhand. The second lot of vaccines, which were taken to the state National Health Mission Headquarters in Namkum in an insulated temperature-controlled van, was provided police escort before they were dispatched to other districts and storage centres across the state.
