The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Board Acting Chairperson, Hajiya Hannatu Zailani, said the board targets all the 3,945 intending pilgrims for COVID-19 vaccine this year.
According to her, the vaccine is one of the criteria that must be fulfilled before an intending pilgrim will be allowed to travel for this year’s hajj based on the directives by National Hajj Commission.
She spoke with Daily Trust shortly after the flag-off of the vaccination exercise of the intending pilgrims at Kaduna North Local Government Area of the state.

Wasiu Adetunji Gbadegesin, the Permanent Secretary, Oyo Ministry of Justice, is dead.
In a statement on Tuesday, Governor Seyi Makinde described his death as a painful blow to the judiciary and the state.
Makinde described the late Solicitor-General, a prince, as a hardworking and efficient civil servant, who gave his best during his lifetime.
The governor noted that his wealth of experience and expertise will be greatly missed.
He condoled his immediate family, the royal family of Oyo and civil servants in the state.
Makinde prayed that God will grant Gbadegesin Aljanah Firdaus.
