ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu met with the senior military leadership of Turkey on Tuesday, and discussed ways to further promote defence ties, particularly between the two air forces through mutual experience sharing as well as relying on the respective strengths of each side.
According to a PAF media release, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu is on a four-day official visit to Turkey. He separately called on Minister for National Defence of Turkey Hulusi Akar and Chief of the Turkish General Staff General Yasar Güler.
The Air chief also called on Commander Turkish Air Force General Hasan Küçükakyüz. Both the commanders held detailed discussion on enhancing collaboration and exchanging expertise between the air forces of the two countries to meet the challenges of the contemporary world. ISLAMABAD: Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, who is on a four-day official visit to Turkey, met the senior military leadership of Turkey on Tuesday.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ambassador of Pakistan Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi jointly performed the welding ceremony of the third MILGEM Ada class corvette for the Pakistan Navy at a ceremony held in Istanbul on Sunday.
Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Şentop, Minister of National Defence of Turkey Hulusi Akar, Chief of Turkish General Staff General Yaşar Guler, Commander of Turkish Naval Forces Admiral Adnan Ozbal, and other dignitaries attended the ceremony, that also included the launching of the first Turkish Navy Istanbul Class frigate.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday launched the welding of the third ship to be constructed for Pakistan Navy under the Milgem project.
Ambassador of Pakistan in Turkey Mohammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi also accompanied Erdogan at the groundbreaking of the third out of a total of four Milgem Ada-class corvette for Pakistan Navy in Istanbul.
