Corona kills 23 people June 30, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The national tally on Monday of active COVID-19 cases was recorded 32,153 with 735 more people testing positive for the deadly virus and 784 people recovering from the disease during the 24 hours. Twenty-three corona patients have died during the 24 hours, out of which 23 were under treatment in hospitals, according to the latest update issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most of the deaths occurred in Punjab followed by Sindh. Out of 23 deaths, 11 patients died on the ventilator. There were 1,946 infected patients under treatment in critical condition in various healthcare facilities of the country. The national positivity ratio during past 24 hours was recorded 1.78 percent. The maximum ventilators were occupied in four major cities including Islamabad 22 percent, Lahore 19 percent, Bahawalpur 20 percent and Multan 27 percent.

An NCOC special session was chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, co-chaired by National Coordinator Lieutenant General Hamood uz Zaman Khan. SAPM on Health Dr Faisal Sultan also participated in the meeting.
