The Finnish Transport Workers’ Union (AKT) and Employers’ Federation of Road Transport (ALT) on Monday failed to reach an agreement on the terms and conditions of bus drivers, increasing the likelihood of an over week-long strike scheduled to start on Wednesday, 1 March.
The District Court of Helsinki on Wednesday ruled that the implementation and consequences of the strikes would be disproportionate or contrary to accepted principles, reports YLE.
“I’m sure we’ll manage to bring the bill to the Parliament early next week,” Minister of Family Affairs and Social Services Aki Lindén (SDP) stated in the Parliament House on Thursday, 8 September.
