The National Commission for Backward Classes said it had recommended that the reservation of OBCs in the state should be increased from 17 per cent to 22 per cent, but till date no positive action has been taken on the recommendation of the commission
Speaking to ET, NCBC chairman Hansraj Gangaram Ahir said, "We conducted a review and all senior officials of Delhi government, including chief secretary Naresh Kumar, were present. They have accepted that there is a backlog and posts reserved for OBCs have not been filled." The data shows 310 Group A posts, 1,903 Group B and 2,467 Group C posts meant for OBCs have to be filled.
