May 11, 2021 Peacock Sports is apparently working on a docuseries focusing on former San Francisco 49ers legend and Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana. The video streaming service, owned by NBCUniversal, announced Tuesday the docuseries will chart Montana’s path from his college days at Notre Dame to his ascendance with the 49ers and eventual induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It will also include recollections from former coaches, teammates and even some celebrity figures: “Peacock announced the development of a documentary about Joe Montana, one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time,” the release stated, via Awful Announcing. “The multipart series features Montana’s first-hand account of his career from earliest days as a high school All-American, to National Champion at Notre Dame and ultimately becoming a four-time Super Bowl winner and NFL Hall of Fame inductee.
