DIMAPUR A three-day induction training for surveillance workers under the National Centre for Vector Borne Diseases Control (NCVBDC) organised by the directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima, concluded on Thursday at the conference hall of DUDA Guest House, Kohima. An update from the Health department stated that the joint director and SPO of NCVBDC, Dr. Neisakho Kere, in his welcome address, emphasised on upholding sincerity in work. He also presented the roles and responsibilities and basic information on vector borne diseases such as malaria, dengue, JE, filariasis, chikungunya and kalaazar. The deputy director of NCVBDC, Dr. Tinurenla Anichari, has highlighted on signs and symptoms of malaria, JE, dengue and detailed treatment of malaria, while the state consultant of public health and training, NCVBDC, Imsubenla, presented on the recording and reporting of malaria formats, which was followed by hands-on exercise on filling of all the formats and simultaneously on IEC/BCC
