Archives Members of Government, Members of Parliament, and Senators from the North West Region have been urged to lobby for a bigger slice of the National Cake.
In an open letter to the lawmakers and elite of the North West Region, Ndifor Ferdinand wonders how the Dja-et-Lobo Division in the South Region gets more from the Public Investment Budget than the entire North-West Region.
Ndifor wonders if Members of Government, Members of Parliament, and Senators from the North West Region are aware of the disparities in the Public Investment Budget, PIB.
“Dear honorable gentlemen, find below the Public Investment Budget for the North-West Region and see for yourselves the fraction you have obtained for us compared to other regions,” Ndifor wrote.
A veteran Nollywood actor, Jim Lawson Maduike, is dead.
The Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN) president, Emeka Rollas, confirmed the news of his death on Saturday.
The actor died on Saturday after reportedly complaining of body aches at around 12 pm.
The late actor was also an accomplished broadcaster, writer, and TV personality who featured in over 150 movies in his lifetime. He joined Nollywood in 2004 where he played lead roles in most films.
Jim Lawson Maduike
The Imo State-born broadcaster, voice-over artiste, and actor worked with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, for 14 years.
He was also a pioneer staff of Ray Power Radio for three years, and then for MINAJ for another three years before venturing into Nollywood.

The Order of The Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria (KSM) has charged the Federal Government and critics to take the message of the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Reverend Matthew Hassan Kukah, as a serious piece of advice and work for the collective security of the country.
The KSM, a lay Catholic organisation in a statement on Tuesday said suggested a revisit to the 1960 constitution of Nigeria, saying “let the nation listen to Bishop Kukah’s clarion call. Let Nigeria retrace her steps to the wisdom of our forefathers as enshrined in the 1960 constitution but with the new constituencies that define a secular Nigeria.”
