Today’s General Election, that is, the December 7, 2020 General Election, goes well beyond a contest of individual personalities, although the main contest is the one between the Presidential Candidates of the country’s two major political parties, namely, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC). The two major personalities involved are, of course, the incumbent President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and former President John Dramani Mahama. It is their respective political scripts, in terms of how each of these individual leaders have managed the affairs of our country for at least the past 8 years, that would very likely determine which of them gets the electoral mandate of the people, and with the latter, the chance to govern Ghana for the next four years.
