December 15, 2020 PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has approved the Department of Education s (DepEd) plan to conduct pilot face-to-face classes in select schools in low-risk areas in the country for the whole month of January 2021. The Palace informs that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and the Cabinet approved during tonight’s Cabinet meeting, December 14, 2020, the conduct of pilot implementation or dry run of face-to-face classes in select schools within areas with low Covid-risk for the whole month of January 2021 as proposed by the Department of Education (DepEd), said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque in a statement Monday.
He said the approval was done during Duterte s meeting with Cabinet members Monday.
December 16, 2020 THE Department of Education (DepEd) Central Visayas has recommended the local school divisions of Cebu Province, Lapu Lapu City, Carcar City and Bogo City as among the region’s participants in the pilot implementation of limited face-to-face classes starting January 2021.
Salustiano Jimenez, DepEd 7 director, said he submitted the list to their central office after President Rodrigo Duterte approved the pilot implementation.
The region’s list also includes the school divisions in Tagbilaran City and the provinces of Siquijor and Bohol.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Monday night, Dec. 14, 2020 said the President approved limited face-to-face classes in select schools in the country.
