Pakistani police say former Prime Minister Imran Khan will not be transferred to appear in court. Khan's trial session scheduled for Wednesday will take place at his place of detention. Khan was ousted in a no-confidence vote held by parliament in April 2022. He has repeatedly said that his removal from office was an illegal measure and a Western conspiracy. He launched a campaign against the government of his successor, current Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The cases against Khan range from terrorism to attempted murder and money laundering.
