Later this month, Caroline Saunders and her family will return to their home in England where she will await her next posting from the U.K. Foreign Office.
She has served her country well for the past five years as consul general based in Calgary, a city that has provided her with a huge store of fond memories. The usual term is for four years but Saunders asked for an extension, which shows her real appreciation of this city and its citizens, as well as the interesting challenges of running her consulate during economic hardships, COVID and the complexities of Brexit.
