JERSEYVILLE A Jerseyville man is facing a felony insurance fraud charge after being accused of taking money from Medicaid.
Joseph D. Graham, age unavailable, was charged Jan. 21, according to the Jersey County state’s attorney’s office. He is accused of using deception to get more than $342.16 from Medicaid.
Other felony charges filed by the state’s attorney include:
• Nathaniel E. Higuera, 36, of Jerseyville was charged Jan. 19 with violating an order of protection. He is accused of entering a house in Jerseyville that was the subject of a 2020 order of protection, and of having a previous conviction for a similar crime. Bail was set at $25,000.

JERSEYVILLE Numerous controlled substance and methamphetamine-related charges were recently filed in separate incidents by the Jersey County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Jeffry C. Young, 55, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, was charged Jan. 6 with possession of methamphetamine 15-100 grams, a Class 1 felony; and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
According to court documents, on Jan. 5 Young was found to be in possession of between 15-100 grams of methamphetamine, and a glass pipe.
Bail was set at $10,000.
Other drug-related charges filed recently include:
• Brandi J. Dobson, 39, of Winchester, was charged Jan. 5 with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony. According to court documents, on Jan. 5 she was found to be in possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $10,000.
