there happily smiling and taking pictures and the next moment she was in acute pain and called out for dan and she collapsed. reporter: paramedics were called and tried to revive the 41-year-old, but police say she died in her room. the family says she died after having a drink from the hotel s mini bar. the attorney general s office says a cause of death has yet to be determined but the resort says she died of a heart attack. jay mcdonald, her brother-in-law, says the entire family is in shock. what we thought was a freak event now we don t know. reporter: that s because just five days after shop warner s death, two more americans were found dead at the same resort. 23-year-old edward nathaniel holmes and his fiancee were found in their room after hotel
a hotel located in the dominican republic, celebrating a wedding anniversary. they spend the day taking photos, having a good time. around 7:30 at night she has a drink from the mini bar and that s when things begin to spiral out of control. she is suddenly in physical pain, she calls out to her husband, collapses on the floor, he calls the hotel paramedics, they get there but she dies in the hotel room. same day another american couple checks into the same resort, 63-year-old nathaniel holmes, cynthia ann day, they are from maryland, they are celebrating the fact they are getting married and they spend five days in this resort. the day they re supposed to check out, they don t check out. hotel staff members come to their room, find them both dead. an autopsy in their case revealed they had died of apparently respiratory failure and pulmonary edema. both of them dying of the same exact condition. that s when the family of warner said wait a minute here, same
and nathaniel holmes and cynthia day were found dead in their room after they missed their check out. they checked on the same day that miranda passed away. police found several bottles of blood pressure medication in the deceased room. the hotel said that heart problems could have been a factor in miranda s death as well. her family said that she was sick 15 years ago and had long since been medically cleared. it was at first a little confusing there was a strong parallel. then we were pretty alarmed by what seemed to be the implications. we don t know. there s questions, obviously. we don t know what is at the bottom of this. but it immediately caused serious concern for us. a doctor told us a toxicology report could say whether the one cause was caused by the same thing in all three cases but very unusual if it were random
