Nathan taylor was 35 years old and spent his first assignment with the chp at the Department San jose office. Ktvus ken wayne is here now with what we learned about the officer. Reporter by all accounts, Nathan Daniel taylor was a model officer, admired not just by his fellow officers, but by just about everyone he encountered. Officer nate taylor responded to an accident on interstate 80 near Donner Summit during heavy snowfall saturday. He was outside his patrol car directing traffic when an suv driver lost control of her vehicle, striking the officer. Its not the weather that causes these accidents.
