Auxvasse man pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and other charges Wednesday
FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
An Auxvasse man pleaded guilty Wednesday to attempted possession of a controlled substance (meth), forgery and felony murder in the second degree.
Joey Russell Morris, 30, admitted his role in the shooting death of Nathan Pritchett, Jr.
Morris admitted that he and two other men arranged to purchase meth with counterfeit money from Pritchett in a rural area of Callaway County in April 2019.
Pritchett figured out the money was counterfeit and an argument ensued that led the third man to shot and kill Pritchett.
The judge sentenced Morris to 4 years in prison for the drug and forgery charges and 12 years in prison for the murder charge.
