Country-pop crossover star Lisa McHugh has revealed how the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic forced her to explore different entertainment opportunities, leading to a new weekly music show on Downtown Radio.
The Enniskillen-based singer/songwriter, who had to cancel her packed diary for 2020, including a support slot with Sir Tom Jones, was left with plenty of free time on her hands during the challenging lockdown, so set up her own podcast to occupy herself.
And it proved such a big hit with her fans that Lisa was offered her own Saturday afternoon slot on Downtown, beginning this weekend.
But the 32-year-old insists she is not stepping away from singing, and with new single Bad Idea just released and a new album in the offing, Lisa says making music remains her number one passion.
