Nathan James Mahrt died March 6, in the single-vehicle crash on Summerfield Road east of Douglas Road in Bedford Township, north of the Ohio boarder, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Mahrt, 35, of Lambertville, was driving a silver 2020 Nissan 370Z at 3:46 a.m. south on Douglas Road when he lost control of his vehicle while turning on to Summerfield Road, police said. His car crashed into the utility pole and tree before coming to a stop, police said.
