State sees 3,328 new COVID cases, 69 deaths

There were 3,328 new COVID-19 cases and 69 additional deaths reported statewide Thursday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
That brings the total cases in Illinois since March to 1,137,559, with 19,444 deaths. As of Wednesday night, 2,341 people in Illinois were in the hospital with COVID-19, 513 of them in intensive care and 265 on ventilators.
The seven-day positivity rate from Jan. 28 to Wednesday is 4.4%.
Of the 2,125,650 doses of coronavirus vaccine the state has received, 1,156,453 had been administered by Wednesday, according to the state health agency.
