Three city employees were turfed after the auditor general’s office investigated tips made to the municipal fraud and waste hotline in 2020, according to an annual report on the whistleblower program.
Auditor general Nathalie Gougeon released the report this week ahead of an audit committee meeting later this month, providing general information about the hotline intel in a year that saw 204 tips come into the anonymous reporting system.
