Huntsville’s Straight to Ale brewery and Alabama A&M University have announced the release of their long-awaited collaboration beer. Aptly named “Alma Mater” by a group of students in the MBA program at Alabama A&M, the light American-style lager will debut at Straight to Ale on Thursday, May 27. Natchez has faced many challenges over the years, and this past week is no exception. Ice and snow have caused trees to come down, roofs to cave in, put thousands without power and even more without water….but we are Natchez Strong!
Once again, the Natchez Brewing Company, and owners Pat & Lisa Miller have risen to the occasion when our citizens are in need. In 2020, Lisa and Pat turned their brewing business into a hand-sanitizer business, making hundreds of gallons of quality hand sanitizer when stores were not restocking their shelves. Now, in 2021, Lisa and Pat have stepped up again to assist Natchezians during one of the most treacherous ice storms we have ever witnessed in over 300 years in the city of Natchez, by providing fresh potable water.
