Mark Speight has been remembered by his CBBC co-stars Kirsten O Brien and Iain Stirling on the 13th anniversary of his suicide.
Former SMart frontwoman Kirsten, 49, and Love Island star Iain, 33, took to Twitter on Wednesday to pay their respects to Mark and reflect on the impact he had on their lives.
Mark died by suicide aged 42, when he was found hanged in Paddington Station on April 7 2008, having become consumed by grief after the death of his fiancée Natasha Collins, who died in January of the same year after a cocaine binge.

With the kids now in their 20s and menopause knocking at the door, Rebecca, 47, decided it was time to do something for herself. She was as surprised as anyone when she found herself flying from her home in Wellington to Auckland to go shopping with personal stylist Caitlin Taylor. Taylor has already helped Rebecca sort through her wardrobe via video call, soul search to rediscover her personal style and narrow down the colours, cuts and fabrics that suited her. The final piece of the journey was a shopping trip to fill in the gaps in Rebecca’s wardrobe. “I’m not on the red carpet every day. That is not what I was after,” said Rebecca, who is a teacher. “I was after confidence in myself.”
