The Aiken City Council could soon begin the process of selling Newberry Hall, a downtown building once slated to be demolished as part of Project Pascalis.
The Aiken City Council voted unanimously Monday evening to approve the first readings of ordinances granting one-year lease extensions with a mutual option for a second year to the three businesses. The lease extensions contain a provision, Item 19, offering owners Jeannette Moseley (Vampire Penguin and Flawless Glow) and Brooke Thomas (Ginger Bee) the chance to purchase their parts of the Beckman building.
On the agenda for the Aiken City Council meeting Monday evening are the first readings of ordinances extending lease agreements with Flawless Glow Cosmetic Studio, Vampire Penguin and Ginger Bee Boutique for one year.
