DURBAN - A Durban school principal is being investigated by the KwaZulu-Natal Education Department for allegedly abusing his powers.
Staff at the Umlazi Comtech High School reported the principal.
Some allege that they’ve even received death threats.
The KZN Education Department says it’s sent a team to investigate.
“We are not going to tolerate any kind of abuse of power from any of our employees, including the school principal so we are taking this very seriously, said the department s Kwazi Mthethwa.
Education MEC Kwazi Mshengu has on Tuesday revealed that the Harry Gwala District director Sindi Zakuza-Njakazi masterminded the irregular appointment of the Boniwe Rehabilitation Centre in Umzinto to host a matric boot camp during the COVID-19 second wave late last year.
