The famous cat is believed to have been living as a stray around Ulverston for six years. The cat has been routinely fed by caring people across the town, earning himself a variety of adorable names along the way. Ulverston resident Nat Tyson said: Over ours he was called Scraggy-Cat , our little girl named him, and he ate two bowls of dry biscuits as fast as he could. He sometimes hung out in our kitchen if our other cats would let him. Our neighbour calls him Daisy and further up Sun Street he’s called Tom. Melanie Gifford said: He is known as Munch on Beech Bank. He periodically sleeps in our garage and our neighbour has fed, watered given shelter and occasionally been allowed to tickle him over the last couple of years.
