The Director-General, World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr. (Mrs.) Ngozi Okonjo- Iweala, who began her historic visit to her home country, Nigeria, yesterday, promised that WTO will explore areas it can assist to Nigeria’s economy. Okonjo-Iweala also assured that support for women and entrepreneurs is dear to her heart. The WTO boss, who is visiting the country for the first time since assumption of office, explained that Nigeria women and entrepreneurs, who have been playing active role in economic development of nations would receive WTO support.

The Chairman NSGF, Governor of Plateau State, Honorable Simon Lalong in a webinar organized by an NGO, the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation (SABMF), gave the assurance on behalf of his colleagues. The safety and efficacy of the Covid-19 vaccine were also discussed. Represented by the Secretary to the Plateau State Government (SSG), Professor Danladi Atu, Lalong said: “we the Northern Governors have agreed to take the first doses of the vaccines”.
