The Suva City Council has been granted approval to continue providing garbage collection during the lockdown period.
SCC Chairman Isikeli Tikoduadua says they will ensure that COVID-19 protocols are practiced during the collection schedules and normal Saturday collections will see them providing the services in the respective Suva City, Nasinu Town and Tacirua areas.
He says they have noted an increase in volume of household garbage generated over the last three weeks.
