COMMENTARY | Ryan Ali, the head of the Office of Sports and Entertainment who had been under a city Inspector General s investigation, resigned last week, becoming the latest Mayor Lenny Curry-backed appointee to leave City Hall amid controversy. Ali, who made $115,000 a year, had been on administrative leave since September, when Curry s office notified him he was under investigation for alleged workplace misconduct. That investigation is ongoing and confidential, and Ali, in his resignation letter to Curry s administration, said he remains unaware of any specific allegations but  look(s) forward to the completion of the investigation and remain confident the Inspector General will conclude that I did not engage in any wrongdoing. Ali said he is leaving to take a position outside government.
