Gas production down, oil output up in FY2021 July 10, 2021 KARACHI: Gas production was marginally down to 3.51 million metric cubic feet per day (mmcfd) during the last fiscal year compared to 3.58 mmcfd a year earlier while annual oil output increased 24 percent to 75,575 barrels per day, according to a brokerage report. Overall, it declined two percent from 1.3 mmcf to 1.28 mmcf, a Topline Research report said on Friday. The biggest declined in production of 17 percent from Kandhkot, followed by 13 percent in Qadirpur, and 4 percent in Kunar Pasakhi Deep, the brokerage said, citing official data. Gas output from Mari, however, increased 7 percent and from Nashpa the growth was 8 percent.

OGDCL injects 12 more wells in production gathering system in nine months

Daily Times May 27, 2021 Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), during the first three quarters of the current fiscal year, has injected as many as 12 more operated wells in the production gathering system aimed at tackling the natural depletion in existing reserves and meeting the country’s ever-increasing energy needs. “Decline in the production was partially mitigated by injection of 12 operated wells in the system including Mela-7, Pasakhi-11, TAY South West-1, Saand-1 & 2, Umair-1, Mangrio-1, Togh Bala-1, Nashpa-10, Pasakhi Deep-6, Pasakhi West Deep-2 and Qadirpur-62 which cumulatively yielded gross crude oil and gas production of 371,918 barrels (BBL) and 6,769 Million Cubic Feet (MMCF) respectively,” according to an official report available with APP. During the period under review, the oil and gas production was impacted primarily by a natural decline at Kunnar, KPD-TAY, Dakhni, Sinjhoro and Nashpa fields. Man, two sons killed over Karak land dispute - Newspaper

KARAK: A clash between rival groups over a land dispute claimed lives of a man and his two sons in Rustam area of Banda Daud Shah tehsil here on Tuesday. Police officials said the groups traded heavy fire, as a result, Mohammad Shafique and his two sons identified as Mohammad Asim and Mohammad Aashiq sustained critical injuries. They were shifted to the tehsil headquarters hospital, where they succumbed to injuries. Khalid Hussain, a member of the rival group, also received injuries. However, his condition is stated to be stable. The police registered an FIR of the incident and started further investigations.
