Place North West | Prime embarks on £2m Wrexham shed refurb

Dan Whelan The property manager is overhauling the 81,500 sq ft Ash Road North factory after its former occupier Wrexham Wire went into administration last year.  Known as Wire 81, the property sits on a 5.6-acre site on Wrexham Industrial Estate, east of the town centre.  Prime Property bought the unit out of receivership and plans to complete a £2m refurbishment in June.  The refurbishment project includes upgrading 7,500 sq ft of office space, and the warehouse is to be re-clad.  Speaking to Place North West, Imran Younus, commercial director of Prime Property, said the unit’s unique selling point was its 3,000KVA power supply, which would make Wire 81 suitable for use as a manufacturing facility.
