The first two Iowa chapters of the National African American Gun Association formed last fall and have modest, but active and growing, memberships. Narren Brown created the first NAAGA chapter in the northeast Iowa town of Cresco. He s held regular events featuring instruction on gun laws and safety.  Steven Pilate attended one of Brown s events in central Iowa, and decided to form his own chapter in Des Moines.
