4 jobless men kidnap stockbroker for Rs 15L

Four unemployed men have been arrested on Friday by Chaturshringi police within 48 hours of kidnapping a
stockbroker and asking for a ransom of Rs 15 lakh. Gajanan Kavatikwar (28) had filed a
police complaint in this regard two days ago, after the incident took place on Monday this week.
Owing to the
COVID pandemic, Mohit Vedpathak (32), Akshay Girigosavi (27), Maruti Pawar (34), and Narhari Bhavekar (31) were jobless for quite some time. In dire need of money, they planned to abduct the complainant and forced him into their car after assaulting him near his office in Baner.
