COLOMBO (News 1st): A meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Affairs will be held next Monday (Apr. 19) with the participation of party leaders and under the patronage of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
The meeting will be held at the Parliamentary Complex at 2:00 pm on Monday, the 19th of April, Serjeant-at-Arms, Narendra Fernando said on Friday (Apr. 16).
During the meeting, attention will be drawn to the proposals to be tabled and the bills to be debated in the last parliamentary week of April starting from the 20th.

According to a report titled ‘Sri Lanka avoids clash with India by cancelling Khan’s Parliament speech’ by Dar Javed published in Colombo Gazette, the speech was cancelled to prevent souring of relations with India.
