Howard ford following a nearly 3 hour standoff. Police believe ford is connected to the Armed Robbery at the Maverik Convenience store on stead boulevard early monday morning. The standoff started around 11 last night. Swat was called to the scene and negotiated with the suspect. No injuries were reported. Deputies are looking for the man who they say crashed his truck into an Apartment Building in carson city last night triggering a gas leak. About 20 people were evacuated from the Sierra Springs apartments on hot springs road. The leak shut down part of the road between tiger drive and roop street but it has since reopened. One person suffered minor injuries but sheriff ken furlong says this incident could have been much worse. Minor injuiries, mostly from the debris falling inside that house. So we are pretty lucky right now. The risk of fire was tremendous until we that that line shut down. The Carson City Sheriffs Office has identified the suspect as 38 year old francisco perez. H
