Hyderabad: The shopkeepers in Narayanguda have resorted to protest against the construction of Foot over Bridge in the area.
The GHMC had initiated the construction of a F.O.B. at Naryanguda in June 2020 on an antiquated 50-year-old conventional design. According to the locals, it seems to be totally and entirely unsuitable for a congested and highly commercial location like Naryanguda.

Information Technology and Municpal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao on Friday inaugurated the Mini Hub a health diagnostics initiative of the Telangana government in Borabanda.
Patients who arrive at primary health centres will be referred to the Mini Hub for conducting diagnostics, depending on requirement. As many as eight such mini hubs for diagnostics were launched on Friday.

Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Arvind Kumar has issued instructions for completion of a total of 28 foot-over-bridges (FOBs) at various locations on top priority.
These are part of 36 FOBs which are in various stages of completion under the GHMC’s purview.
Of the structures accorded top priority by the Principal Secretary, nine are in Serilingampally, five each in L.B. Nagar and Secunderabad zones, four in Khairatabad, three in Charminar, and two in Kukatpally zone.

Now a COVID testing centre, the facility used to manufacture vaccines until a few years ago
It is an abandoned building in Narayanguda with flaking plaster, broken steps, scattered office furniture lying around and strays wandering about. The pediment has ‘1896 Laboratories’ written on it.
“We used to manufacture vaccines here until a few years ago. Now, this is a RT-PCR testing centre for COVID-19 which is functioning from the new block,” says a health official at the rear of the abandoned building known as Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM).
