i m kristen sze. i m eric thomas. we start with breaking news out of philadelphia. a man on a flight bound for sfo was discovered carrying explosives. katie marzullo is live with the latest on this. reporter: we ve learned more about what the man had on him in terms of explosives. and we have a live picture for you at the philadelphia airport. you can see it is fairly quiet out there one gate was closed just for 20 minutes because of this. our affiliate in philadelphia is reporting the bottle that he had contained explosives was pyrotechnic powder and three m-80 type fireworks in a plastic bottle. federal background check found no connection to terrorism. he was taken into police custody and told authorities he had fooled around with the materials and forgot he had them in his backpack. the bomb squad is analyzing them now. looking live at the philadelphia airport the incident is not affecting other flights through philadelphia at this time. just one gate closed for abo
