Mauro Pando of Graceâs Table learned Monday morning that local restaurants can once again open outdoor dining and before noon was already serving customers.
âWeâre ready to go,â said Pando, owner and chef of the restaurant on Second Street in downtown Napa.
California lifted its regional stay-at-home order in the Bay Area and elsewhere on Monday. That means restaurants can once again serve food outdoors only, wineries can serve guests outdoors only and hair salons can reopen, among other things.
State projections show intensive care unit capacity should be adequate in coming weeks, enough to lift the regional stay-at-home order restrictions imposed on the Bay Area on Dec. 18. That means counties revert back to the stateâs color-coded set of restrictions.

There s lots of calls being made to folks holding reservations at the El Bonita Motel in St. Helena. Under the new-stay-home order, hotels can t accommodate anyone traveling for leisure or a holiday getaway. We re a little like police people asking them why you are coming, it s ok if they are essential - if not, we have to cancel their reservation, said motel manager Pierrette Therene.
The staff at Elizabeth Spencer Winery in Rutherford is about to take down the welcome sign and close their tasting room for the next three weeks, and pivot to online sales only.
