Nythe Road will close again for roadworks MORE road closures are planned for the Oxford Road and Nythe Road junction. The junction was closed for roadworks until July 8, when it reopened after all planned works had been completed. The works had already been extended for two weeks. But Swindon Borough Council has now written to residents to tell them temporary traffic lights will be installed and Nythe Road will close while this happens. The letter read: “To allow R&W to continue with the works with minimal disruption to Swindon Borough Council’s network, the project team and Swindon Borough Council Street Works team believe the best way forward would be to close Nythe Road junction during our normal working hours (7.30am-5.30pm) to keep traffic flows manageable to allow works to proceed safely.”
good day. i m andrea mitchell in washington on a critical super tuesday for the top republican presidential candidates. tonight in wisconsin, the establishment, the outsiders and the long shots, are going to take part in a debate that could draw the line between presidential contenders and pretenders. let s go to our team live in milwaukee. chris jansing, hallie jackson and kasie hunt. chris, let s talk about ben carson. what s at stake for him tonight? reporter: well, i think he s got a lot at stake going in because the top two new polls, one a national poll, another in south carolina, where he s gained 13 points since that poll was last taken, but he has also been under fire more than anyone and certainly in spite of the fact that his opponents and pundits have questioned his contention that nobody has come under as much scrutiny as he has, these questions that have been raised about his past as they re described in his books, his campaign believes has really prepared him
try to go at this issue, we need to understand the hierarchy, and what tim wolfe expects from the administration is what they are going to give him. and so if his expectations are not in line with what students of color need across the campuses across the state, then we have a problem and i say we as far as students of color, have written e-mails and statements and submitted all types of different forms of communication to administration and little to nothing has been done. and so, we feel as though, you know, in order for us to really start to effect change, we have to change how the hierarchy looks and the ideas that they have. for him to not understand what system issic oppression is and not to have a relatively decent definition of it is a problem, because it is a real thing and something that students of color have to deal across the campuses across the state of missouri. naomi collier, good of you to
thank you. and a lot of people are reacting to the news as well. i want to bring in naomi collier who is the president of the student naacp, and miss collier, i want to get your thoughts right off of the bat that the president tendered his resignation. first and foremost to god be the glory and i am happy that he understood what needed to happen and that he was able to just recognize his role in everything and do what was necessary for this university. so i guess that the question i have for you is what the mayor just said to me right as i was saying thank you to him, and bringing you on the program, he said the words, it is up realistic to see the problem solved at this point. do you agree with that statement? i do. we are dealing with a systemic oppression that has been in place for hundreds of years, and i mean, outside of the university of missouri, i mean,
