Dhaka [Bangladesh], October 15 (ANI): The Bangladesh government has beefed up security to facilitate Durga Puja celebrations, after attacks on temples and pandals during Durga Puja celebrations, prompting the authorities to deploy paramilitary forces and contingents of police across the country.
Three people were killed and many others injured yesterday as mob and police clashed in Chandpur’s Hajiganj upazila while violence erupted in several districts following reports of “demeaning the Holy Quran” in Cumilla.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel have been deployed in Cumilla this evening to prevent any untoward incident centring the reported “demeaning of the Holy Quran".
