8月12日，記者從深圳市交通局獲悉，深圳東部過境高速公路工程已順利完成首個樁基施工、首片梁預製架設、首片鋼箱梁吊裝、首條高壓線遷改等節點目，項目正安全有序推進建設。全線建成通車後，將實現深港兩地「東進東出，西進西出」的大通關格局，有利於促進貨運交通與城市交通相分離，緩解交通擁堵；有利於加強深圳東部地區與中心城區的聯繫，促進坪山、龍崗等東部地區發展。
