据微信公号“南宁日报”消息，2021年7月19日，中央文明办印发通知明确，自2021年7月15日起，恢复南宁市全国文明城市资格。
消息称，7月6日至7日，中央文明办复查组对南宁市创建全国文明城市整改提升工作进行复查考核。复查组认为，南宁市经过一年的整改努力，城市环境面貌和群众生活质量明显改善，市民文明素质和城市发展明显提升，文明城市创建工作发生了可喜变化，为推进南宁市高质量发展凝聚了精神力量、提供了良好氛围、创造了有利条件。
“全国文明城市”是反映城市整体文明水平的综合性荣誉称号，是目前国内城市综合类评比中的最高荣誉。但这项最高荣誉并非永久的，城市治理稍有不慎，便有可能被停止资格。此前，根据全国文明城市测评有关规定，南宁市因2019年测评成绩落后，从2020年6月4日起至2021年6月4日被停止全国文�
