The Delhi Police on Sunday averted a major crisis at Mansa Ram Hospital which was almost out of oxygen and had 35 Covid-19 patients on oxygen support. When the hospital contacted the Delhi Police, 20 cylinders were made available.
Additional DCP (Outer district) Sudhanshu Dhama said, On Sunday, around 1:30 pm a distress call was received from Director, Rajesh Dabas of Mansa Ram Hospital on Nangloi Nazafgarh road in the jurisdiction of PS Nihal Vihar that the hospital is having 35 Covid patients on oxygen support. The supplier at Bawana facility stated there was scarcity of oxygen cylinders there due to the ongoing pandemic. However, due to emergency at Mansa Ram Hospital, 10 oxygen cylinders were organised immediately and 10 more after half-an-hour, an official said.
