9240 rural women in Borno, Yobe benefit from cash grant

A total of 5,840 women will receive a cash grant of N20,000 each in Borno State. Similarly, 3,400 women will get disbursements in Yobe State.
Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, according to a statement by her Special Assistant on Media, Nneka Ikem Anibeze, disclosed these at the flagoff of the Federal Government Rural Women Cash Grant Programme in the two state, yesterday.
“At the flag off on Friday at the Multi purpose Hall, Government House Maiduguri, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Sadiya Umar Farouq said that the flag-off of Federal Government’s cash grant for rural women is a significant social protection programme of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, aimed at uplifting the most vulnerable groups out of poverty,”the statement said.
