PUTRAJAYA: The Jalan Telawi cluster in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, is among 17 new Covid-19 clusters detected by the Health Ministry on Thursday (Feb 11).
In a statement, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the new cluster has 21 confirmed cases among workers of a supermarket located on Jalan Telawi in Bangsar Baru.
“The positive cases under this cluster have been uncovered since Feb 2, following a targeted screening exercise on workers of the supermarket.
“As of Feb 11, a total of 150 individuals linked to the cluster have been screened, with 21 of them found to be positive, ” said Dr Noor Hisham.
Out of the 17 new clusters, 13 are linked to outbreaks detected at workplaces.
