Many applications for homes are pending with the Mangaluru corporation due to shortage of government land to implement housing projects. As a result, beneficiaries are yet to be sanctioned sites in the city limits.With the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) facing the issue of non-availability of land to implement housing projects.
Currently, official data shows the city has 2.13 lakh properties. However, MCC does not receive property tax under the SAS from more than 15% of the properties.
Mangaluru: Meanwhile, MCC Commissioner Anand CL directed Muda officials to discuss the master plan with all the 60 corporators before finalising the draft to avoid any complications in future.
Building Licences: The move will help citizens to obtain a license for the construction of houses and other commercial complexes below 500 sqm without visiting the MCC office.
